Parabolic Through Solar Dryer

Abstract

A parabolic trough solar fish dryer was fabricated by the researchers. The goal of this is to evaluate the parabolic trough solar fish dryer in terms of drying rate and dried fish quality compared to the traditional open sun drying. The dryer along with the open sun drying set-up was tested at the same time, ranging from six and a half hours to seven and half hours, depending on the availability of the sunlight, per day. There were three trials done in three days. Not necessarily consecutive, with two weather conditions. The data obtained in this experiment proved that the parabolic trough solar fish dryer is better than the traditional open sun drying.
