Abstract

This comparative study of ipil-ipil and maluggay leaf meals on the growth performance of the cobb broiler chicken added to the commercial ration was conducted to measure on a specific parameters- feed consumption, live weight gain, feed conversion ratio, percent mortality, and economic return- started on November 13,2018 up to December 17, 2018 at the College of Agriculture Poultry Project, Mindanao State University-General Santos City (MSU-GSC) campus. A Complete Randomized Design (CRD) was used with 4 treatments that were replicated 3 times. T1-pure commercial booster mash, T2 - 5% ipil-ipil leaf meal added to the commercial booster mash, T3-5% malunggay leaf meal added to the commercial booster mash, T4 - 2.5% ILM and 2.5% MLM added to the commercial booster mash. Each replication was composed of 4 heads of birds. The addition of ipil-ipil and malunggay leaf meal or the combined mixture of the two did not cause any statistical variation or difference among the treatments in the parameters being observed.
