Abstract

This pot experiment in the experimental area of the College of Agriculture at Mindanao State University, General Santos City from November to December 2017.This was done to evaluate the growth and development of pechay as affected by Foliar Spray of FFJ from Pineapple Fruit. A completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this study with four treatments replicated four times. The treatments were as follows: T1-(Control)-60-30-30 kg NPK/ha;T2-1%- +30-30-30 kg NPK/ha;T3-2% +30-30-30 kg NPK/ha; and T4-4%- +30-30-30 kg NPK/ha. The results showed no significant variation among treatments on plant height, number of leaves, plant weight, and plant yield. The data indicated that treatments with Fermented Fruit Juice demonstrated similar pattern with FFJ from pineapple substrate regardless of rates and showed parallel trend of result with the recommended rate of inorganic fertilizer of 60-30-30 kg NPK/ha treatment. FFJ treatments had been applied as well with 30-30-30 kg NPK/ha. It is suggested that the follow-up study be conducted using the similar study on other crops under varied field conditions.
