This study wa conducted to serve as a base line data for the indigenous mushroom in the area of Barangay Malugong, T'boli, South Cotabato for future reference of research collection and other mushroom enthusiasts. Creating a transect line was used in this study to identify the sampling area and area of origin of the mushroom species where the researcher began to collect with 10 m S, 10 m N and 100 m NW (Benchawattananon, 2016). Malugong is a barangay in the municipality of T'boli in the province of South Cotabato. Its adjacent barangays are koronadal proper, Polomolok South Cotabato, Bentong, Polomolok South Cotabato, Datal bob, T'boli, South cotabato, Talcon, T'boli, South Cotabato, Aflek, T'boli, South Cotabato and kemato, T'boli, South Cotabato. Malungong is situated at aproximately 6.1929, 124.9554, in the island of Mindanao. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at 573.8 m or 1.882.5 ft above mean sea level. In the study are there were nine (9) species of mushrooms found growing in the are within 200 sq m using a transect line 10 m N, 10 m S, and 100 m NW at Barangay Malugong, T'boli, South Cotabato. The following were the species of mushrooms identified in the area: Auricularia auricular; Lentinus sajor-caju; Leucopaxillus albissimus; Microporus xanthopus; Parasola auricoma; Schizophyllm commune; Trametes versicolor; Trichaptum biforme; and Volvariella volvacea. The mushrooms that were found indigenous in the area were mostly growing in dead woods as in groups or cluster and were classified as saprophytic. Only one (1) was found growing alone in the soil, and classified as ectomychorrhizal. The most dominant classification of mushroom found was the saprophytic, the dominat habitat was on dead woods and the most dominant nature of growth was in cluster.
