Abstract

The study was conducted at the Experimental Area of the College of Agriculture of Mindanao State University - General Santos City in order to evaluate the performance of acetyl salicylic acid on the different growth stages of radish. The study made use of a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four (4) treatments replicated three (3) times. The treatments were as follows: T1- control (90-60-60 kg NPK/ha); T2- 1 week after planting (45-30-30 kg NPK/ha); T2-2 weeks after planting (45-30-30 kg NPK/ha); and T4-3 weeks after planting (45-30-30 kg NPK/ha). The results revealed no significant difference across treatments on plant height, number of leaves per plant, plant weight, root diamter, and root yield. It is a matter of adding half of the recommended rate of nitrogen in treatments with Salicylic acid in order to achieve yields comparable to the recommended rate of inorganic fertilizer treatment
