IDENTIFICATION AND CLASSIFICATION OF INDIGENOUS MUSHROOM IN KORONADAL PROPER, POLOMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO

This study was conducted to serve as a baseline data for the indigenous mushroom in Brgy. Koronadal Proper Polomolok South Cotabato. A transect line was used in this study to identify the sampling area and area of origin of the mushroom species. The results of the survey revealed a total OF 9 different species of mushroom, belonging also in 9 families and genera. The mushroom collected from the selected field of Korondal Proper could be classified as saprophytic mushroom which comprised 3 species while ectomycorrhizal mushroom comprised 4 species. The 2 species are identified to be both saprophytic and ectomycorrhizal mushrooms.
