Abstract

The field study was conducted at Mindanao State University. General Santos City, Agronomy Experimental Thesis Area, from November 12, 2017-February 1 2018. This study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five (5) treatments replicated three times. The treatments were as follows: T, - Control (RR: 15-15-15 kgs. of NPK/ha); T2- 10% FFAA; T3- 15% FFAA; TA-20% FFAAT - Vermicast (10/ha). The result disclosed that there was no significant variation observed across treatments of different levels of application of Fermented Fish Amino Acid (FFAA) on the flowering period, pod diameter, weight of marketable pod, weight of non-marketable pod and pod yield of okra. However, a yield increment of 43 percent was attained by T2 (10% Fermented Fish Amino Acid FAA) over the control (TI 15-15-15 kgs. N, P, K T/ ha) which is said to be the optimum level of application. Thus, Fermented Fish Amino Acid (FFAA) is a low cost input that can be a good substitute for the inorganic fertilizer for increased crop production.
