THE HISTORY OF BARANGAY CONEL, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

     This study examines the historical development of Barangay Conel, General Santos City, from its early settlement to its development as a local community.  It traces significant events, changes, and developments that shaped the barangay and contributed to its present character. Using the historical method, the study utilized documentary analysis and interviews with community members and other knowledgeable informants to reconstruct the history of Conel. Documentary sources were examined alongside oral accounts to
identify and validate important information about the community’s origins, development, and historical experiences. The study provides a historical account of Barangay Conel and highlights the experiences of its residents in shaping the community over time. It contributes to the documentation and preservation of local history and provides a reference for understanding the historical development of one of the barangays of General Santos City.
