This study was conducted to determine the properties and compressive strength of concrete with aggregates hauled from Barangay Lumuyon, Kiamba, Sarangani Province. Specifically to determine the behavior of aggregates in terms of: sieve analysis, water absorption for coarse and fine aggregate, specific gravity for coarse and fine aggregate, and aggregate abrasion value. Three design mixtures were used. Nine cylindrical concrete samples were prepare for every design mixture. The indicated mixture used are: Class AA with a ratio of 1:1.5:3 with the components of cement, sand and gravel respectively. Class A with a ratio of 1:2:4 and Class B with a ratio of 1:2.5:5. Three specimens per mixture were tested after it reached its desired curing period of 7, 14, and 28 days. The results were graphed and analyzed after being determined. The average reading in 7 days sample for Class AA, Class A and Class B were 10.96, 8.68 and 5.026 MPa, respectively. The average reading in 14 days sample for Class AA, Class A and Class B were 14.98, 11.97 and 8.77 MPa, respectively. The average reading in 28 sample for Class AA, Class A and Class B were 19.5516.72 and 9.78 MPa, respectively. All of the results for the compressive strength test failed to conform with the code specifications, which indicates that the aggregates is not recommended for high strength material usage. The test result for sieve analysis specifies that Barangay Lumuyon is a good source of fine and coarse aggregate. The test result for the aggregate abrasion value specifies that the aggregates were recommended for road construction, warehouse floors and pavement construction.
