The study entitled "Traffic Congestion on Roundabout in the intersection of Alunan and National Highway of Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat" aimed to investigate the factors affecting the congestion of Tacurong City's roundabout. The researcher used the observation method and administered sets of questionnaires to gather necessary data and the respondents were the drivers and passengers passing the roundabout, the City Engineer's Office — Planning Section and the traffic enforcers assigned in the area. The researcher also conducted a traffic count for three days to determine the number of vehicles passing the road during peak hours. The major findings of the study based on the inspection and data gathered by the researcher in Tacurong City's roundabout, most of the Tacurongnons experience delay in passing the roundabout during Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:00-9:00am and 4:00-6:00pm where many vehicles from the neighboring municipalities are coming in and out of the city. The two main factors that contributes to the traffic congestion on the roundabout are the high vehicle volume and driver's behavior, and the best options to lessen/eliminate the problem are to remodel the roundabout and to minimize traffic volume by vehicular number/color coding. It is recommended that remodeling of the roundabout should be done to lessen the traffic congestion for now, and afterwards the City Government can implement vehicular number/color coding to minimize traffic volume. The volume of heavy vehicles passing the roundabout should be lessen by creating a diversion road.
