Vending machines are like mini or portable stores, they can be set at almost any public place. Today a variety of modern vending machines are commercially available thal offers different products.Locally, vending machine.s available offer products such as potable water, hot coffee or chocolate and soup. This study develops a microcontroller based water vending machine that modified a commercially available water dispenser. This water vending machine must have a reliable system that is able to work 24 hours a day. The system provides a user-friendly interface to make the use of the system easy. It uses coin-slot technology and accepts the Philippine peso coin denominations of 1.00, 5.00, and 10.00 from 1995-2019 and each denomination has a corresponding volume of water to be dispensed. It provides users a choice between hot and cold water, and during the transaction, the user is free to switch between hot and cold as long as the dispensing time has not finished. The researchers also integrated a sales monitoring feature that shows the total number of 1.00, 5.00, and 10.00 peso coins in the system and the total sales through an LCD display. The system allows monitoring of sales at real-time.
