This experiment was conducted to evaluate and determine the response of straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae S.) to the different concentrations of urea at Mindanao State University - General Santos City, Tambler Campus on March to July, 2018. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatments which were replicated three times was used in the study. The following treatments were TControl; T2- 72 tbsp. of urea/4L of H,O, T3-1 tbsp. of urea/4L of H20; T4-1 V2 tbsp. of urea/4L of H20; T5-2 tbsp. of urea/4L of H2O. Results of the study disclosed that the application of different concentrations of urea did not significantly affect the growth of straw mushrooms due to extreme environmental conditions and termite infestation on the mushroom beddings. In general, it is important to elevate the beddings and to explore the use of other different fertilizer sources, different planting techniques and innovations for mushroom cultivation that will favor the growth of straw mushrooms in Mindanao State University-General Santos City conditions.
