Frog diversity was investigated in the nickel mining sites of Tubay, Agusan del Norte and Claver, Surigao del Norte using the Cruising Method from November 2007 to January 2008 along streams, rivers, ricefields, and pandan habitats using the Shannon-Wiener Index (H), Simpson's index (D), Simpson's Index of diversity (1-D), and Simpson's reciprocal Index (1/D). A total of 74 individuals were collected in Tubay, Agusan del Norte, representing 10 species dominated by Rana magna and 64 individuals in Claver, Surigao del Norte representing 8 species and dominated by Bufo biporcatus. Analysis of frog diversity revealed that Tubay, Agusan del Norte (H = 1.65) is found to be more diverse that Claver, Surigao del Norte (H = 1.64) The results for Shannon-Wiener Index (H) showed that both study sites had moderate species diversity. Result of Sorensen's index of similarity (ISS) showed that Tubay, Agusan del Norte and Claver, Surigao del Norte share 44.44% of frogs species in common.
