Abstract

This study was conducted at field area of the College of Agriculture, Mindanao State University, General Santos City from September to January 2017. To evaluate the performance of com as affected by mycorrhiza as seed inoculant. The experiment was carried out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The treatments were the following T1-90 - 60 -60 kg/ha, T2- Mycorrhiza (200g/10kg com seeds), T3- Inorganic and mycorrhiza (40-30-30kg/ha) and (200g/10kg corn seeds), T4- Vermicast and myccorhiza (2.5 tha and 200g/10kg com seeds), T5- Vermicast (5T/ha). The treatments were replicated three times. Result revealed that the application of mycorrhiza as seed inoculant to the yield performance of com had significant effects on the Plant height, days to 50% silking weight of 1000 kernels of com. But it had no significant effect on ear length, grain yield and days to 50% tasseling of com variety sigi-sigi. This showed that application of mycorrhiza as seed inoculant had no effect to the yield performance of corn.
